Board Chairman & President

Sphamandla is a social entrepreneur passionate about unlocking the potential of a connected world. He has been involved in policy formulation, strategy and digital transformation programmes in Banking, Telecommunications, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Mining and Energy sectors. My mission is to improve the lives of countless Africans by helping businesses gain competitive advantage and harnessing the power of shared value. This vision exemplifies the change that is possible in the connected things of Africa.

Spha holds several leadership positions he is currently the Chairman of the IoT Industry Council, President of Nu-Energy Enviro Africa (Eneviro), and a non-executive Director of Kaizen IoT. He is the Chairman of Masa International a majority shareholder in Masa Rail and a Strategic Advisor to Oketsa Group a female-owned mining services company.

He has vast experience in leading and managing technology teams and has worked with companies like CBI of Reunert Limited, Vodacom, Investec, Standard Bank, First National Bank, Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine and African Exploration Mining and Finance Corporation. Amongst other internationally recognized industry certifications, Spha holds a BCom from Rhodes University and a PGDip in Management Practice from Henley Business School. He is currently pursuing a triple-accredited MBA with Henley Business School and is passionately involved in combating Climate Change, Energy Management and the Rail Infrastructure Reform in Africa.

Shalom Nevhutanda

Group VP Growth & Expansion

Shalom Nevhutanda is a Geographic Information Systems specialist and Environmental Management practitioner with over 15 years of experience. He has vast experience in both public and private sector consulting, management and training. Mr Nevhutanda has worked as a Hydrologist, GIS Officer, GIS Manager (Dep. Director) in the public sector. His work experience ranges from duties such as going on-site visits to obtain accurate baseline information of the locations of Agricultural Production, Agroprocessing facilities, the procurement of agriculture-related datasets from different vendors, compiling maps of projects, report writing on the related projects, to responsibilities such as geo-database development and maintenance, creation and maintenance of GIS web mapping applications, service delivery innovation and many more.

My role in Strategy Execution is to assist the organisation to narrow it’s focus by stream lining its strategic initiatives, co-ordinating strategic project activities and providing implementation and delivery support to working teams and executive sponsors to enable them to focus on those activities that move the organisation towards achieving its vision.

Themba Sikhosana

Group VP Legal & Compliance

Themba is a corporate and commercial attorney with particular transactional experience in M&A, aircraft (asset) finance-related transactions and project finance transactions. He has commercial legal experience in information and communication technology (ICT), public procurement and public finance, infrastructure development and finance as well, as public-private partnerships (PPPs), administrative law and constitutional law and other general corporate and commercial experience. Previously Senior Legal Counsel & HOD: Contracts Management for the SAA Group (South African Airways SOC Limited).
